Organisationsprofil

Am Institut für Wirtschaftsinformatik (IIS) der Leuphana Universität Lüneburg arbeiten wir an innovativen Themen in der Wirtschaftsinformatik und im Data Science. Inhaltliche Schwerpunkte sind die digitale Transformation, E-Health, E-Commerce, Business Analytics, Sport und E-Learning. Methodisch konzentrieren wir uns auf die Entwicklung und Nutzung von Verfahren des maschinellen Lernens und der künstlichen Intelligenz für die Modellierung und Lösung von datengetriebenen Entscheidungsproblemen. Weitere quantitative (z.B. Graphen, Optimierung) und qualitative (z.B. Interviews, Referenzmodellierung) Methoden ergänzen das Methodenspektrum. Die Kooperation mit anderen Universitäten, Unternehmen und Institutionen der Zivilgesellschaft spielen eine wichtige Rolle in der Arbeit unseres Instituts.

Forschungsschwerpunkte

Am Institut für Wirtschaftsinformatik sind derzeit 6 Professoren sowie zahlreiche wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter*innen und eine Stipendiatin aktiv. Zu den inhaltlichen Schwerpunkten zählen digitale Transformation, E-Health, E-Commerce, Business Analytics, Sport und E-Learning. Das Institut für Wirtschaftsinformatik war für die Ausrichtung einer Reihe von Veranstaltungen und Konferenzen an der Leuphana verantwortlich (z.B.
