Organisationsprofil

Die Arbeitsgruppe Wirtschaftsinformatik, insbesondere Data Science, unter der Leitung von Prof. Dr. Burkhardt Funk, widmet sich der Entwicklung und Anwendung datengetriebener Methoden zur Entscheidungsunterstützung in Unternehmen und öffentlichen Institutionen.

Forschungsschwerpunkte

Der Forschungsschwerpunkt liegt auf dem Einsatz von Data Science und maschinellem Lernen zur Analyse großer Datenmengen, um Prozesse und Entscheidungen zu optimieren. Ein zentrales Thema ist die Entwicklung intelligenter Systeme, die durch datenbasierte Vorhersagen Entscheidungen unterstützen. Anwendungsfelder bieten das Gesundheitswesen und verschiedene betriebliche Funktionen (z.B. Marketing, Rechnungswesen). Die Arbeitsgruppe hat u.a. Ansätze zur Vorhersage der Wirksamkeit und Personalisierung von Gesundheitsinterventionen, Methoden zur Wissensextraktion aus Dokumenten (geschäftliche Dokumente, wissenschaftliche Arbeiten) und zur optimalen Budgetallokation im Marketing entwickelt.
