With a view to the topic of inclusion and diversity, this article aims to the basic qualification as well as the main focus of a profile study within the framework of a profile study in the teaching profession against the background of the
specifics of the Leuphana University of Lüneburg. According to the model of
Hußmann et al. (2018), the contribution can be located on Level 2 in the middle tetrahedron of the three-tetrahedron model. It starts at the university level and asks how prospective teachers can be prepared for future professional practice in inclusive schools. Thus, the topic area of inclusion and diversity at the school level becomes an object of learning in university teaching. In the attempt to show the reflections and developments on an inclusion-oriented teacher education the question of content plays a central role as well as the question of how it is to be taught within the
question of how to teach it in the context of the university part of teacher education.
