What's on in Arts Marketing Research?

The aim of this article is to provide an overview of current studies and contributions from cultural marketing research and, where applicable, to identify topics and approaches that are currently receiving increased attention. For this purpose six relevant academic journals of cultural management and the nonprofit sector were reviewed. The article identifies digitalisation, co-creation, branding, funding/procurement management and social impact as research areas that are currently receiving a particularly high level of attention. No focal points can be identified with regard to the methodology and epistemologies used. A great variety of different research approaches were identified in the articles reviewed.
