Reflections on educational relationships in the tradition of humanist pedagogics seemed to have been forgotten for a long time. Today ‘educational relationship’ comes into focus again but in economic and technical terms of structures, processes and outcomes. As a result even educational (not-for-profit-)organisations’ quality of processes are referred to as relationships and interactions that lead to an organisation’s high outcome. This contribution however puts forth an approach that is particularly based on a specific understanding of a (socio)pedagogical quality of relationships that can only be gained with reference to the theories and the tradition of personal pedagogy.
