Complementing conventional sinter-based processes such as metal injection molding, the metal binder jetting process enables more economical production of sintered components in smaller quantities. Due to different green part properties, different tribological properties and thus different component distortion are present. Furthermore, it is currently not known how these change with the condition of the setter plate. The aim of this article is therefore to present corresponding analyses and to point out recommendations for action.
