Nicht jedes kraftvoll vorgetragene Statement wird im Mathematikunterricht als Begründung akzeptiert. Doch was sind gute mathematische Gründe? Neben der Entwicklung verschiedener Aspekte der Begründungskompetenz von Kindern müssen Lehrkräfte eine Kultur des Vermutens, Hinterfragens und Begründens schaffen und so das Begründungsbedürfnis wecken.
