Small and medium sized enterprises (SME) represent the main part of firms in the tourism sector. Their competitive surrounding is nowadays characterized by the following of quick changes. These changes require adjustments and the establishment of competitive advantages, which can be created on one hand by focussing on the market and on the other hand by considering internal resources of the enterprise. Touristic small and medium sized enterprises have to generate the performance of adjustments by themselves. The government only creates the general framework.
