The research field of empirical educational research encompasses the prerequisites, processes and outcomes of education across the lifespan within and outside educational institutions. In addition to analyses in the context of school performance studies / large scale assessments, the work of the research unit "Empirical Educational Research" focuses primarily on research in teacher training and in the area of "Education and Language".
