N2 - This article employs qualitative interviews of preschool administrators (n = 10) and preschool teachers (n = 13) to identify different types regarding their acceptance and use of documentation apps. Using a qualitative clustering approach, we identified four types: Two types supported the app and the other two were rather skeptical. A closer look at the four identified types revealed that all types were present among preschool administrators and preschool teachers. Moreover, we identified characteristics that promoted or inhibited the acceptance and use of documentation apps. The results suggest that preschool providers and preschool administrators influence the acceptance and use of documentation apps of their employees at both a personal and structural level.
