Description

Nach der letzten Finanzkrise 2008/09 ist das Vertrauen der Unternehmensadressaten in die kapitalmarktorientierte Unternehmenspublizität gesunken. Vor diesem Hintergrund ist die traditionelle Finanzberichterstattung um eine Nachhaltigkeitsberichterstattung (CSR) zu ergänzen, die idealerweise zu einem Integrated Reporting vernetzt wird. Während das CSR Reporting bereits einen empirischen Forschungsschwerpunkt bildet, hat sich das Integrated Reporting durch das Rahmenwerk des International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) aus dem Jahre 2013 noch nicht empirisch etabliert. Das Forschungsprojekt behandelt den Einfluss ausgewählter Corporate Governance-Variable auf die Qualität der Nachhaltigkeitsberichterstattung. In diesem Kontext wird ein Fokus auf die Prüfung von Nachhaltigkeitsberichten (CSR Assurance) gelegt.
