Starting with a universal joint with an additional rotary degree of freedom for considering the passive rotation, this paper extends, by a systematic variation of the characteristics position and size of elements, the portfolio of possible passive joints for parallel structures by two further joint types. The two new joint types allow for a full utilization of the swinging degrees of freedom with a proper consideration of the passive rotation and thus for a maximum possible working space for the used parallel structure.
