The pacifier has an optical transmitter and a sensor that optically measures vital functions e.g. oxygen saturation in blood and pulse, of a baby and other values of baby body. The sensor records the measured results, which are transmitted to an external processing unit e.g. commercial PC, via the transmitter. The sensor is shifted within an area of a mouthpiece of the baby according to reliability of the measured results.
