Eine im Rahmen des Kleinforschungsprojekts „Enkulturation und Interkulturalität: eine komparatistische Analyse der intermedialen Repräsentation nationaler Identitäten in ABC- und Bilderbüchern vom 19. Jahrhundert bis heute“ entstandene internationalen Arbeitsgruppe, die sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat, die Internationalisierung der Forschung zur sozialisatorischen Funktion von ABC- und Bilderbüchern zu konkretisieren. An einem ExperInnenkolloquium an der Leuphana im Dezember 2009 nahmen teil:
Dr. Andrea Immel, Curatorin der Cotsen Children's Library, Princeton University Library, einer der umfangreichsten historischen und internationalen Sammlungen von Kinder- und Jugendliteratur, Dr. Gillian Lathey, Geschäftsführende Direktorin des National Centre for Research in Children's Literature (NCRCL), Roehampton University, Prof. Annie Renonciat Université Paris-Diderot, France und Institut National de Recherche Pédagogique, Prof. Maria Margarida Morgado, Escola Superior de Educação Castelo Branco und Dr. Verena Rutschmann, Schweizerisches Institut für Kinder- und Jugendmedien, Zürich.
Auf einer Folgetagung im März 2011 in Zürich am Schweizerischen Institut für Kinder- und Jugendmedien präsentierten die TeilnehmerInnen den Stand ihrer Arbeit und berieten über den weiteren Fortgang der Kooperation.
