Exploring the psychology of an energy technology partnership: the case of hydrogen in mobility

Project: Research

Project participants

Description

This project draws on anonymised interviews with participants in a commercial partnership on hydrogen mobility, to explore the implications of the psychology of the partnership for sociotechnical transitions theory. The project is motivated by the under-theorisation of actor-level process in the latter theory, which in part arises from the different levels of analysis involved. The aim is to show how psychological themes and constructs can inform thinking about what actor-level conditions are required to facilitate the broader level, system changes that sociotechnical transitions theory proposes.
