The researchers at the faculty ask about individual and institutional preconditions, processes and results of education, development and social interaction. Both basic and applied research form the foundation of an interdisciplinary, cooperative and internationally compatible education, development and social research.

Topics

Die Fakultät Bildung fragt nach subjektiven und strukturellen Bedingungen des Lernens und der Bildung, in institutionellen Kontexten ebenso wie in informellen und non-formalen Settings. Im Rahmen der Wissenschaftsinitiative Bildungsforschung untersucht sie Lern-, Bildungs-, Sozialisations- und Entwicklungsprozesse Heranwachsender als zukünftigen Akteuren in einer Zivilgesellschaft angesichts heterogener gesellschaftlicher, familialer und schulischer Lernsituationen. Sie verbindet die Bildungswissenschaften mit den Unterrichtsfächern Deutsch, Mathematik, Englisch, Sachunterricht, Politik, Religion, Kunst, Musik, Sport, Biologie und Chemie sowie der Wirtschafts- und Sozialpädagogik. Beteiligt sind etwa 35 Professorinnen und Professoren mit etwa 115 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern.
