Beschreibung

In this project I explore the presence of publication bias and selective reporting in corporate governance research. I analyze all corporate governance studies published in FT45 journals from 2009 to 2014 and find that the frequencies of p-values at or just under common significance levels (0.05 and 0.10) are higher than frequencies just over these levels. This pattern is stronger for test/experimental variables than for control variables. These findings indicate that there is a strong presence of publication bias and selective reporting in corporate governance research.
