Das Forschungsfeld der empirischen Bildungsforschung umfasst Voraussetzungen, Prozesse und Ergebnisse von Bildung über die Lebensspanne innerhalb und außerhalb von Bildungsinstitutionen. Im Zentrum der Arbeiten der Forschungseinheit „Empirische Bildungsforschung“ stehen neben Analysen im Kontext von Schulleistungsstudien / Large Scale Assessments vor allem Forschungen in der Lehrkräftebildung und im Bereich „Bildung und Sprache“.

Forschungsschwerpunkte

Die Professur für Erziehungswissenschaft, insbesondere empirische Bildungsforschung beschäftigt sich mit

-Schulleistungsstudien/Large Scale Assessments (Äquivalenz von Kompetenzmessungen in NEPS, PISA und IQV-Ländervergleich, Soziale Herkunft in PISA 2003-2012)

- Sprache im Fachunterricht (DaZ-Kompetenz von angehenden Lehrkräften, Einstellungen von Lehrkräften zu Mehrsprachigkeit, Sprachsensibler Unterricht)

- Universitäre Lehrerbildung (Lernen mit multiperspektivischen Unterrichtsvideos, Kompetenzmonitoring von Studierenden)
