Project: Research

Project participants

Description

The continuation of research aimed at the better understanding of International HR Management, especially talent management, performance, and adjustment is planned. In cooperation with Deniz S. Ones, University of Minnesota, and Stephan Dilchert, Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, The City University of New York, we try to understand how internationally deployed managers in all GLOBE-regions are trained, adjust and perform.
The next steps will be to add a new perspective and try to understand how the intercultural competence of international expatriates in Germany is rated by German nationals. Also I plan research on the practice of the support of expatriates during their assignments. Both perspectives can be applied to selection and training, development, and coaching of expatriates of internationally active organisations. A research proposal to DFG is in preparation.
