N2 - SAUBER+ is a joint research project with the goal of reducing pollution from healthcare institutions in wastewater. As a partner with expertise in the social sciences, the Institute for Environmental and Sustainability Communication (INFU) of the Leuphana University Lüneburg is investigating risk awareness and the work and behavioral routines of medical and nursing care staff in healthcare institutions. This article describes the conceptual design of the survey, selected findings and their ramifications for designing tailor-made educational measures.
