Indigenous peoples and local communities (IPLCs) manage ~1/4 of Earth?s land, including areas rich in biodiversity. Nature in these areas is often reported to be declining less rapidly than in others. This Voices asks: how can the knowledge and practice of IPLCs contribute to biodiversity conservation and sustainability at a global scale?
