Organisationsprofil

Die Arbeitsgruppe "Nachhaltige Landnutzung" wurde im November 2010 von Professor Jörn Fischer gegründet und ist der Fakultät Nachhaltigkeit an der Leuphana Universität angegliedert.

Wir sind eine interdisziplinäre Forschungsgruppe, die an den Beziehungen zwischen Menschen und deren Umwelt arbeitet. Ein großer Teil unserer Arbeit konzentriert sich auf die Landschaftsebene. Wir sind insbesonders daran interessiert, wie Menschen die Landschaften nutzen und wie im Gegenzug dazu die Biodiversität und Ökosystem-Dienstleistungen beeinflusst werden. Wir sehen Menschen und deren Umwelt als voneinander abhängig an.

Forschungsschwerpunkte

Zusätzlich zu unserer Arbeit auf Landschaftsebene sind wir an der konzeptionellen Entwicklung der Nachhaltigkeitswissenschaften auf globaler Ebene interessiert. Auch hier sind wir von einem Ökosystem-Ansatz beeinflusst, jedoch lassen wir Erkenntnisse aus den Sozialwissenschaften mit einfließen.

Unser Ziel ist es, durch lösungsorientierte Forschung zur nachhaltigen Entwicklung beizutragen.

Seine interdisziplinär ausgerichtete Tätigkeit bündelt Landschaftsökologie, Ökosystemforschung, Biodiversitätsforschung sowie die Erforschung von Ökosystemsdienstleistungen.
