The effects of vibration on physiological processes in humans are being analyzed in multiple scientific fields. One of the most important findings on vibratory stimulations is an elicitability of reflex responses by direct or indirect stretches of the muscular tendon system. Even if reflex patterns are influenced by multiple parameters and show inter-individually a wide variety it is an important function in the field of neurorehabilitation, as deficient muscular activation potentials can be bypassed. Thereby, biopositive training effects can be generated if vibratory stimulations are reapplied. Especially superimposing the signal with noise improves the potential to detect and integrate the signal. Stochastic resonance is the basis for this functioning. Verf.-Referat
