The article explores, whether and how the diversification of diversity is framed in current policy discourses on integration in both Germany and Great Britain. Grounded in interpretive policy studies, it asks whether the fact that immigration takes place in already diverse countries is reflected in official notions of society and integration. It finds that the German integration discourse has proven to be very persistent, in terms of overlooking diversity while at the same time stressing individual integration. The British policy discourse, however, has seen a turn from multiculturalism to integration that remains without funding in times of austerity.
