This paper is based on the student project “Cultural Diversity Management” conducted during the summer semester 2012 in cooperation with a German publishing company within the master program Management & Human Resources of Leuphana University Lüneburg. From April to July 2012 the students developed rec-ommendations for measures regarding the recruitment, development and retention of employees with a migration background. The bases of these recommendations are a comprehensive literature research, an analysis of measures of different companies and 28 qualitative interviews conducted with selected focus groups.
