A sprig of parsley that leaves a bitter taste: comments on the Spanish-Moroccan dispute about Perejil/Leila

This article examines the legal framework of the 2002 Spanish-Moroccan dispute about Leila/Perejil, a small island off the Moroccan coast. It applies basic concepts of the law of territory, such as prescription, conquest etc., and proposes a solution based on international legal principles.
