Junior professorship for business administration, in particular digital transformation

Organisational unit: Section

Organisation profile

The professorship in Business Administration, in particular Digital Transformation, deals with individual, organisational and societal change processes with regard to a digitally sustainable transformation of companies and society. The focus is on different corporate and industry contexts: from large diversified organisations, start-ups and entrepreneurs in the global south, to digital platforms and their (invisible) actors (such as rider communities, ghost workers, and micro workers). The theoretical focus is on processes and practices of organising, aspects of temporality and sustainability management. These are mainly investigated through process and systems theory approaches as well as qualitative methods. A particular methodological focus of the professorship is on qualitative meta-studies.

The teaching and research programme is interdisciplinary and integrated into local, national and international networks. The professorship aims to maintain close contact with scientific and practical contacts in research and teaching, as well as to transfer scientific findings into practice.
