The positive relationship between firm size and export is a stylized fact. Econometric investigations back theoretical considerations by showing that a ceteris paribus positive relationship between firm size and export activities exists. The direction of causality, however, is not clear, because exports may induce growth by helping firms to escape the consequences of a small domestic market...
