Recent literature analyses the „Quantified Self“-Network primarily from the perspective of health-monitoring. Further analyses of the extensive selftracking practices shows that the quantified self doesn’t just constitute itself alongside
logics of optimization or imperatives of health, but the phantasms of regulation of cybernetic biopolitics. The production and codifying of vital characteristics of everything living is the core of the self-quantification. Biopolitical technologies of regulation and government describe this specific access of uncontrollable life and increase of productivity as (im)material labour.
