ASE: A new approach for qualitative groupware development projects?

Groupware is a general term for software applications that are designed to streamline the collection and dissemination of information, based on the concept of the learning organization. The main problem of using groupware efficiently is the need for an increasing amount of creative and conceptional work. For this reasons we have tested the Animated Systems Engineering (ASE) within student groups in two projects, because we need user participation in all phases of the reorganization so that there is a wide acceptance of the groupware concept. This implies to focus on the human factor as the key for success. But nevertheless, we want to show that Project Management has to be a well structured and method based process. We have tried to combine both in our new approach.
