Die Studie beschäftigt sich mit dem Thema, welche Aspekte bestehender Erlebnismarketingansätze sich in der Gestaltung von Kulturangeboten umsetzen lassen und was für Erlebnisse von welchen Besuchern überhaupt nachgefragt werden. Der Beitrag widmet sich diesem Thema aus einer am Kulturkonsumenten orientierten Perspektive unter Berücksichtigung von Ansätzen aus der Lebensstil- und Motivationsforschung, wobei zunächst praxisbezogene Erlebnismarketingkonzepte sowie Ansätze aus der Konsumenten- und Besucherforschung hinsichtlich ihrer Relevanz für Kulturorganisationen diskutiert und gegenübergestellt werden. Die Ergebnisse dieser Analyse haben wir in ein Konfigurationsmodell relevanter Erlebniskategorien für Kulturorganisationen integriert.
