The Institute of Psychology in Education is part of the School of Education and currently consists of three departments, which are concerned with Psychological Assessment and Individual Differences, Developmental Psychology, and Educational Psychology.

Aktuelle und zukunftsbezogene Fragestellungen stehen hinter einer umfassenden Forschungstätigkeit, deren Facettenreichtum auch den Studierenden in Form thematisch vielfältiger Lehrangebote sowie der Möglichkeit der aktiven Beteiligung am Forschungsprozess zugute kommt.
Ziel ist, sowohl anwendungsbezogenes als auch grundlagenorientiertes Wissen bereitzustellen. Die Forschungsaktivitäten der Institutsmitglieder decken die verschiedenen Analyseebenen der psychologischen Forschung ab: Individuumsbezogene Fragestellungen finden bei uns ebenso Berücksichtigung wie Themen der Gruppen- und Organisationsforschung. Insgesamt gruppieren sich die Forschungsaktivitäten im Institut für Psychologie vor allem um die folgenden drei Schwerpunktsbereiche.
Eine weitere Aktivität unser Institutsmitglieder ist die regelmäßige Betreuung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses. In der Rubrik Doktoranden finden Sie die von uns betreuten Promovierenden.
