Agricultural Water Quality Control System Methods

An investigation into the effectivity of Split Range and On/Off control strategies as means of fluid control in the mixing of two input sources in an agricultural setting. The inputs are simulated to match the expected inputs found in agricultural settings particularly semi-arid regions which rely on groundwater as a supplementary water source particularly in times of drought. This groundwater is typically higher in salts which can be harmful to crops, these are quantified by electrical conductivity. The research therefore investigates the effectively of the described control algorithms to dilute this groundwater with the less saline water, typically found in the surface water conventionally utilised in agriculture, to create a mixture of a qualitv which is suitable for irrigation use.
