Amazon und andere Online-Händler stehen an der Spitze einer logistischen Revolution im Einzelhandel, die urbane Räume verändert. Während Amazons und andere Patente auf eine Spekulation über automatisierte Zukünfte hindeuten, schaffen die Einzelhandels- und Logistikoperationen - von Fulfillment-Zentren bis hin zur Auslieferung auf der letzten Meile - bereits Räume und Architekturen, die offen für automatisierte logistische Abläufe sind. Das Projekt führt eine systematische Untersuchung der Auswirkungen von Amazons logistischen Operationen auf urbane Räume durch, mit drei Teilstudien, die sich auf die Art und Weise konzentrieren, wie Amazons Urbanismus derzeit die Eigenschaften und Beziehungen des urbanen Raums verändert; Amazons algorithmisches Management Daten, Menschen und Dinge koordiniert; und Amazons Patente auf automatisierte Zukünfte logistischer Städte spekulieren.
