The research project SAUBER+
has the aim of reducing waste-
water loaded with harmful substance from facilities of the pub-
lic health sector. As socio-scientific partner in a complex research
group, the Institute for Environmental Communication (INFU)
of the Leuphana University Lüneburg (Germany) is investigat-
ing, within the scope of the project, the risk awareness and the
working and behavioural routines of employees among the med
-
ical and nursing personnel in public health facilities.. In the ar
-
ticle the fundamental considerations of the survey as well as a
number of selected results are presented and further steps to-
wards their utilisation are described.
