Humans are sensible for time. The way they feel, experience, want and act is temporally structured and defined. Time regimes influence and dominate the historical, cultural and social structure of the life and experience of people through their imperative apodicticity, homogeneity, self-assertion and speed. However, not every period of life is equally integrated in the respective order and structure of the current time regime, as the example of the later life period shows. The following essay takes a phenomenological and cultural theoretical look at the modern and late modern time regime of the late period of time. This period of time controversially urges the question of time sensibility, because the experience of time changes with age. The later life period turns out to be complementary to current time regimes in a special way, but also resistant against it.
