Mit der Urlauber-Universität wurde erstmalig eine Veranstaltungsform entwickelt, die die Gesundheitsbildung im Urlaub in zwangloser Form (ohne z.B. die Einbindung in einer Kur) ermöglicht.
Dabei sollten Themen gefunden werden, die möglichst viele Gäste von Bad Bevensen ansprechen und gleichzeitig die Kompetenz des Ortes als Gesundheitsdestination darstellt.
