Description
The joint project "Digital Entrepreneurship" (DigEn) pursues the goal of strengthening the economy of the transition region, which is characterized by small and medium-sized enterprises and often has owner-managed structures, in its entrepreneurial transformation against the background of digital change and to make it capable of sustainable innovation in the long term. To this end, the Leuphana University of Lüneburg and the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences will jointly develop a new, innovative understanding of digital entrepreneurship, more precisely called digital entrepreneurship, in rural regions and research its framework conditions and challenges in order to develop interaction formats and intervention tools based on this understanding, which will help to ensure the long-term innovative ability of the transition region's economic area in the digital economies. As an overarching goal of the project "Digital Entrepreneurship", a model project is to be initiated, which is based on the innovative, interdisciplinary cooperation of different disciplines (business administration, business informatics and psychology) as well as the transdisciplinary approach in the cooperation with the actors from the regional economy with the claim to work on and solve concrete problems of digital transformation and business model development in start-ups, growing and established companies
