The project " Nachhaltigkeit an Hochschulen (HOCHN): entwickeln - vernetzen - berichten" ("Sustainability at universities (HOCHN): develop - network - report") is dedicated to anchoring sustainability development processes and professionalising sustainability reporting at German universities. HOCHN combines practical and scientific demands. In addition to an accompanying framework programme for a targeted, methodologically supported exchange of experience and knowledge for the implementation and establishment of sustainability as well as the implementation of sustainability reporting at universities, it also offers a systematic networking programme with specific programme items with regard to research needs, developments and perspectives in these subject areas.

Especially at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg, the project aims to contribute to the structuring of sustainability-oriented research at German universities based on existing preparatory work (such as the LENA or TransImpact projects) as well as to process good practice examples in this area. These two aspects will then be incorporated into the planned guidelines for research.
