Description

The impact of media reputation on the success of an IPO is examined. This involves defining "media reputation", conceptualizing "IPO success" and identifying the relevant reputation dimensions and factors. The central thesis of this work is: The positive media reputation of a company has a positive effect on the success of an IPO. The empirical examination is based on a qualitative media resonance analysis and a structural equation model. The results are to be used to derive recommendations for action in corporate practice.
