Topics

The team of the research area Gender Research, Youth Welfare and Inclusion conducts empirical and theory-generating research on societal inequalities that can foster social disadvantages and to which social work and social pedagogy react.

Currently both, research and teaching focus on social disadvantages in gender relations and the resulting risks of violence.

In the international context, we cooperate primarily with colleagues from various Australian universities. The cooperation with practice partners from civil society is another element of networking.

- Children and young people in the context of intimate partner violence
- Intersectionality and inclusion
- Professionalization processes and gender mainstreaming
- Open universities
