Wiederholung und Wiederaneignung: Collagen, Loops und Samples

Die Forderung, die im Exposee der Tagung formuliert ist, dass nämlich "insbesondere jene Rekombinationen profiliert werden sollten, die ungehörte Stimmen (…) gegen ihre vormaligen Marginalisierungsmechanismen subversiv zu wenden suchen" bietet für die hier zu verhandelnde Musik eine passende Beschreibung ihrer Ausgangssituation. Die aktuellen ästhetischen Strategien auditiver Gestaltung, wie sie in allen Bereichen vom seriösen Experiment über kommerzielle Produktionen bis zur populären Avantgarde anzutreffen sind, schreiben weder die Traditionslinien institutionalisierter Akademien (die der westeuropäischen Kunstmusik) noch die warenästhetisch konfektionierten Kompositionsmuster der Adornoschen Schlagerwelt fort. Sie kommen aus - früher als ‚Dritte Welt‘ bezeichneten - kolonialisierten Staaten, aus den Gettos der Armen und Machtlosen, die sich ohne Rücksicht auf Autor, Werk und Urheber die phonographischen Produktionsmittel und ihre Archive angeeignet haben, um sie zu einer neuen Musik der Reproduktion zu 'instrument'alisieren.
