N2 - For a wide variety of motion control systems, the PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors) drive is among the best options. The PMSMs, for instance, are frequently used for motors, power tools, and robotics and are currently being explored for high-power uses, including industrial motors and vehicle propulsion. Additionally, it has industrial and commercial uses. The PMSM is renowned for its great efficiency, greater power density, exceptional dynamic performance, as well as limited power ripple. The objective of this paper is to review literature that is based on tracking problems through the control of permanent magnet synchronous motors in terms of their control and functionality, including fault detection and performance.
