Forschungsschwerpunkte

Die Professur beschäftigt sich mit dem Entwurf autonomer/kognitiver Systeme im Kontext von Computer Vision.

Das Arbeitsgebiet umfasst System- und Applikationsarchitekturen von autonomen/kognitiven Systemen, deren Grenzen sowie die Beschreibung der dazu notwendigen Prozesse. Im Mittelpunkt stehen Methoden, mit deren Hilfe autonomes und kognitives Verhalten erreicht werden kann.

Daneben wird an klassischen Verfahren des maschinellen Lernens wie bspw. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) und LSTM/Transformer zur Akquisition der notwendigen Informationen gearbeitet.

Nicht zuletzt spielen Verifikation und Qualifikation solcher Systeme im Kontext von Anwendungen wie bspw. das autonome Fahren eine Rolle.
