Moreover, CIP-Hemi and CIP-d-CP showed weaker cytotoxic and mutagenic or genotoxic effects compared to the parent compound CIP and therefore underline the feasibility of CIP-Hemi as a viable antibiotic drug candidate, demonstrating benign by design as a promising approach.",
