Effects of Chinese anti-dumping duties on Germany's exports: First evidence from transaction data

Research output: Contributions to collected editions/worksChapterResearchpeer-review

This note uses transaction level data for German exports and two empirical standard approaches-a descriptive decomposition analysis and an econometric difference-in-difference method-to look at the effects of anti-dumping duties imposed by China on German exports. The sign and the size of this effect is found to vary widely across the four products investigated here. Transaction data turn out to be a useful basis for the empirical analysis of the effects of trade policies.
