The present paper approaches the sustainability effects of a business model from a stakeholder perspective. Acknowledging that value creation takes
place within the relationship between the company and its stakeholders, we develop a framework to assess the sustainability effects of a business model. In this framework we connect the business model concept with an acknowledged tool for sustainability performance management, thus enabling researchers and practitioners to assess their business models and to draw conclusions
