Description
The Centre for Sustainability Management of the Leuphana University Lüneburg has provided the conceptual development, piloting and implementation of the Sustainability Management module in the M.Sc. programme in Sustainable Mobility. The goal of the module is to enhance the competences of specialists and managers by giving a structured overview of the problems, issues and approaches to solving problems in corporate sustainability management. The participants learn business and interdisciplinary methods that can be used in implementing sustainable development in a business environment.
The module is organised according to the principle of blended learning, i.e. a combination of distance learning units, e-learning and traditional classroom teaching. The participants include individuals from middle management of the whole Volkswagen Group. The module was led by Professor Dr. Stefan Schaltegger. Alongside leading scientists and consultants, a number of subject experts and practitioners from within the company have been contracted as instructors.
