Die Vorstandsvergütung ist seit vielen Jahren ein Dauerbrenner in der Diskussion um die Sicherstellung einer angemessenen Qualität der Corporate Governance. Dieses Forschungsprojekt untersucht den Einfluss zwischen Aktionärsstruktur, hier insbesondere die Existenz von nachhaltigen Investoren (socially responsible investors), auf die Vorstandsvergütung und die Nachhaltigkeitsperformance. Hierbei sollen empirisch-quantitative Forschungsmethoden für den deutschen und europäischen Kapitalmarkt eingesetzt werden. Besondere regulatorische Bedeutung erfährt die Thematik durch die nationale Umsetzung der neugefassten EU-Aktionärsrechterichtlinie 2017.
