Die Professur für Musikdidaktik beschäftigt sich mit Didaktik der Pop-/ Rockmusik, Popmusik-Analyse, Einsatz und Evaluation von Musiksoftware im schulischen und professionellen Umfeld, Tontechnik, Musiklehre und audiovisuelle Medienproduktion, Geschichte und soziokulturelle Hintergründe von Popmusik, Regionale (Pop-) Musikkultur, Digitale Medien in Geschäfts- und Kreativprozessen unter besonderer Berücksichtigung des Internets sowie Kreativitäts- und Improvisationsforschung.
